More Rest. More Relaxation. More Restorative Sleep. 🌱
What is Restorative Yoga?
Judith Hanson Lasater, recognized as the foremost leader and pioneer of modern Restorative Yoga, defines Restorative Yoga as “the use of props to support the body in positions of comfort and ease to facilitate health and healing.”
Restorative yoga is a deeply restful practice designed to activate the parasympathetic nervous system. It involves holding passive poses for extended periods—often 5 to 20 minutes—while using props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks to fully support the body, allowing for mental and physical relaxation
Why Restorative Yoga?
“I know you can do more, and can you do less?”
In a world constantly asking us to do more, can we allow ourselves to do less?
Message from society: Action is better than reflection
Teaching people the skill of what it feels like to be able to separate from thought
”Yoga is about discovering the difference between thought and consciousness, when we do that we can choose differently and interact in the world in a different way” - Judith Hanson Lasater
”We are all creating our own physical suffering during the day from lack of being with sensation in the moment.” - Judith Hanson Lasater

How to Get Started
Some Client’s Experiences:
“Rachel is such a supportive and generous coach. Working with her was both transformational and magical. After each session, I felt brighter, more powerful, and more 'me.' This revitalized energy carried through every area of my life in a way that allowed me to tackle challenges with openness and curiosity (instead of with fear and anxiety). I highly recommend working with Rachel -- she is a rare gem.” -Ayelette R
