What is Organic Intelligence?
Organic Intelligence® (OI) is a mindfulness-based approach focused on fostering resilience and navigating stress by leveraging the nervous system’s inherent capacity for self-organization, rather than focusing on the stress itself. Developed by Steve Hoskinson, it uses compassion, positive reinforcement, and observation of nervous system patterns to cultivate greater ease and joy.
Auto-Organization.
Natural Healing.
Less Effort.
More Joy. ☀️
Why Organic Intelligence?
One of the many things the Organic Intelligence community offers to the wellness field is the understanding that the body has an inherent capacity for self-organization. It views stress responses as involving the whole system — including the body, emotions, and nervous system — rather than being purely cognitive.
In some approaches, people may focus primarily on past experiences, stressors, or the meaning attached to them. In doing so, they can sometimes overlook the subtle cues the body continuously provides — such as sensations, emotions, images, and impulses — that may support greater awareness, regulation, and reorganization.
When these cues go unnoticed, people can sometimes feel stuck in familiar patterns or cycles despite having insight into their experiences.
Following the principles of Organic Intelligence, sessions unfold through present-moment, naturally developing conversation. A coach gently observes patterns of response, regulation, and support already present within the client’s experience and reflects those resources back in a positive and compassionate way :)
This process encourages greater awareness of the body’s natural capacity for resilience and self-organization. Over time, these supportive patterns may become more familiar and accessible, allowing for greater ease, flexibility, and engagement in daily life!
As this awareness develops, people may experience a deeper sense of resilience, autonomy, wholeness, joy, and connection. 🌱
“OI’s Post-Trauma Growth is a reminder that the most natural thing is that we heal. We heal — personally and professionally — not by dredging up the past, not “feel it to heal it,” and not more pain and suffering. We heal in the here-and-now, through skilled attunement that sees our wholeness. With skilled support, our biology rediscovers its know-how of auto-organization, the natural emergence of our wellbeing.” - Steve Hoskinson

Some Client’s Experiences:
“Rachel is such a supportive and generous coach. Working with her was both transformational and magical. After each session, I felt brighter, more powerful, and more 'me.' This revitalized energy carried through every area of my life in a way that allowed me to tackle challenges with openness and curiosity (instead of with fear and anxiety). I highly recommend working with Rachel -- she is a rare gem.” -Ayelette R
“These sessions have been so calming. It feels like I'm just having a cup of coffee with a friend. The process is subtle enough that I don't feel sheepdogged into a system with goals and hurdles. Yet, I feel myself making subtle changes in my life. I can't explain what's happening or how (I suppose I could research it) but something subconscious is affecting me positively. Highly recommend for anyone who has already done the heavy lifting: trauma therapy, EMDR, etc. Rachel is compassionate, genuine, understanding, self-aware and generally awesome. Cannot recommend her enough.” -Sam H
“As daunting as it may seem to be vulnerable with someone you don't know via Zoom, Rachel is truly one of the kindest, bubbliest, and most supportive people you'll ever meet. She is easy to trust and relax around, and the way she affirms you feels like a big warm hug. Nothing I ever brought to her ever felt too heavy or too silly. Our meetings were the highlight of my week and I always left feeling more grounded and more secure in my body, and always with little nuggets to mull over and journal about throughout the week. I absolutely recommend working with Rachel when you get the chance!" -Jin A
“Rachel is an incredible OI coach. She has helped deepen my personal awareness and given me an ease in finding presence and generosity for myself and others. It feels like a magical power that she has given me! Rachel is calming and collaborative and a wonderful person to grow with in this journey!” - Amanda P
“I was able to safely take a closer look at myself with Rachel’s’ gentle and empowering way of being.” -Michael K
